Hi, I’m Sidney!

I’m an Ontario Certified Teacher who is passionate about helping students unlock their full potential. I have my Master of Teaching from the University of Toronto, and my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Wilfrid Laurier University. I have over 7 years of teaching and tutoring experience and specialize in Mathematics, Chemistry, and General Science. I have also taught and tutored the Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes. In addition, I am well-equipped to support students in university-level Chemistry courses.

Whether students are navigating the Ontario curriculum, preparing for the AP or IB exams, or just looking to make sense of complex concepts, I’m here to help them figure out their unique problem-solving style, while making learning fun. I believe that every student is unique, and I am dedicated to finding the best teaching strategy that works best for each of them.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me exploring new places. Traveling is a big passion of mine.

I look forward to working with you and making those tricky students a little less intimidating and a lot more enjoyable together!

Hello, I’m Julian!

I will soon be graduating with a Master of Teaching at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto. I graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Math.

I have extensive experience tutoring both elementary and high school students in Math and Science. I enjoy getting to know new students and finding what methods, systems, and study techniques help them best. I find great satisfaction in helping students grasp challenging concepts.

In my spare time, I love spending quality time with friends, playing strategy games, and cheering on my beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.

My best advice for students learning Math or Physics is that while reviewing the material is important, practicing problem-solving is even more crucial. You’ll gain confidence and a deeper understanding of these subjects as you become more familiar with a variety of problems. Practice makes progress.

Hi, I’m Kezia!

I’m an Ontario Certified Teacher, holding degrees in both Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education at York University. My teaching subjects are French and Biology.

Throughout my career, I have taught, tutored and supported diverse students in the sciences, french and math. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I love tutoring as it offers me the opportunity to work closely with students, witness their “aha” moments, and serve as a positive role model.

Some fun facts about me is I love nature walks, and doing landscape and floral photography. My advice for Math and Science students is to keep a keen eye on key concepts, formulas and definitions. Science and math concepts tend to build on one another, so it’s important to review regularly and focus on the big picture. As for those studying French, I encourage them to immerse themselves in the language beyond the classroom. It can be fun to learn about francophone culture through music, movies, podcasts, book, and more!

Gabrielle

Math & English Tutor

Hello, I’m Gabrielle!

I’m currently a Master of Teaching student at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Toronto. My teachables are Math and English.

I have experience tutoring Math (including senior level Math courses) and English. As someone who has always been deeply passionate about education, I am thrilled at the prospect of working with students both as a teacher and a learner. I find tutoring to be an incredibly rewarding experience, as it allows me to truly listen to my students, witness their breakthrough moments, and serve as a positive role model in their lives.

Some of my hobbies include cooking, reading, and going to the gym. As a fun fact, I went to culinary school for one semester during the pandemic. Another fun fact is that I was a competitive dancer and choreographer from the ages of 3-18.

My advice for Math students is that practice makes progress. I like to remind students that there is almost always more than one way to solve a question. When it comes to English, it is so important to proofread and make sure to provide a clear essay structure. This way, the essay will work much better, regardless of the topic, if the reader has a clear idea of where they are going as they read.
